Biographical Information

Tre Wentling is an Assistant Professor of Women’s and Ethnic Studies at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. His interdisciplinary commitments include sexuality studies and transgender studies and queer studies, identity and embodiment, agency and resistance, governance and citizenship. His current research examines U.S. administrative policies and practices that regulate identification cards and documents. He is also analyzing data from the Transgender Social Life, Family and Health project. Publications can be found in Journal of Homosexuality; Outside the Gender Box: Trans and Non-Binary Gender People in Higher EducationTransgender Studies Quarterly; and Teaching Sociology.
